The biggest slackline festival in Switzerland, «BernCitySlack», will take place from the 24th - 26th of August 2012 for the third time at Campingplatz Eichholz.
Those interested in the sport can learn about slackline practice on many different lines.
There will be workshops covering various aspects of the sport. The contests will take place on Saturday and are provided to bring the community together and to have fun.
Festival admission is free.

When is the festival?
The festival starts on Friday morning (24.08.2012) and lasts until Sunday evening.

How do I get to the festival?
Public transport: Form Bern train station you can reach Eichholz easily by taking Tram 9 in the direction of Wabern, at getting off at the stop Eichholz (second to last). Then it is simply a 600 meter walk in the direction of the River Aare.
Car: If you are staying at the Camping Eichholz you can park in designated parking area. If not staying in the camping ground try parking in the blue zone in Wabern.
There is NO way to park in the camping Eichholz area if you are not staying there!
What is the cost of admission?
There is no cost for entry, but a small donation for the association is always appreciated!
Where can I stay?
You can stay at the Camping Eichholz, which is where the festival takes place. Camping fees are not subsidized. Eine A reservation is recommended to make sure you have access to a camping spot.

Is there any age restrictions for the festival?
You must sign in at the gate. Those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Am I insured during the course of the festival by the festival organizers?
Anyone participating in the festival or on the premises must obey the rules outlined by the festival organisers. Participation in the festival is at your own risk. Each slackliner must read and sign the rules of attendance at the site. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants.
The slacklines we install are done so safely and securely. The following rules are outlined so as to prevent accidents.:
- All slackline rigging may only be changed by designated operators ( e.g.: tensioning, or detensioning of slacklines).
- When a slackline is in use keep a safe distance away from it. (Don't cross over a slackline when in use)
- Children under the age of 16 must have written consent from their parents. Parents must ensure that their children understand the risks and are supervised at all times (Ultimately the responsibility lies with the parent).
- Each slackliner should only try lines that are within their abilities. If you cannot walk a small line, you should not try the higher longlines.
